What’s On Your Workdesk? Wow, didn’t see that comin’!

Whats on your workdesk gerbera header 300x141

Hi, and welcome to ‘What’s On Your Workdesk?’. This week I worked on a card I titled, Wow… betcha didn’t see that comin’! I got to put a wee bit of humour into this card, so it was a real giggle for me to do 🙂 !

Above is the completed card, now I’ll explain how I accomplished this fun, cheeky card!

I started with a wooden stamp that I had in my stash by Viva LasVega Stamps called Wicked Witch Feet. I wanted to pull the colours from the world image to the legs, and shoes. I accomplished this by using my Copic Colour chart. For the shoes, and legs I used YG00,YG05,YG07,YG09. On the  soles I used N2,N4, and N6. Finishing off the outline with N0, and N1. I used the flicking method for blending on the image, and from darkest to lightest.

Once done the colouring I pulled out my Fiskars (Deluxe Craft Bypass Paper) Trimmer. I decided to make my card a top fold 4 3/4″ x 6″. This is a bit narrower than I usually make, but I wanted the images to take up most of the space. So I modified the card size to accomplish this.

I kept the inside rather simple. I really didn’t feel it needed much more than just the sentiment. Sometimes less is better 🙂

I added cream colour enamel dots, and popped up the images for dimension.

And finally here is the inside sentiment. What a fun card this was for me to make! Sometimes life feels just like this :), and it is good to have a card at the ready for just such an occasion!

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoyed my card this week! I’d love to hear your feed back about this card, or any other comments you’d like to make!

Until next time I’m wishing you loads of sunshine!
